Songstress Tori Kelly returns with the brand new single called “missin u”, via Epic Records. The song also arrives with a visual to accompany it.
The Jon Bellion produced and co-written song finds its inspiration in turn-of-the-millennium R&B with its head-nodding bounce. Kelly’s voice soars over gorgeous stacked harmonies, flexing her signature towering vocal range.
“missin u” is just the beginning of the new Tori. She’s working on a whole lot more music for release very soon.
R&B superstar K. Michelle has just released her latest single “YOU”. The song was produced by Hero and showcases her signature soulful sound, coupled with her ability to craft honest and introspective lyrics that speak to her fans’ true emotions.
Both of the songs will be featured on “I’m The Problem”, which will be the final album from K. Michelle. She adds:
“I’m excited to share ‘YOU’ with my fans. It’s a very personal song that speaks to the heart of what I do as an artist – creating music that connects with people on a deep level. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it and the rest of the album.”
K. Michelle is currently on the “I’m The Problem Tour”.
“This song is an affirmation of my heart belonging to God. We all go through tough times, but this song is a reminder that no matter what we’re facing, we are never alone. We are his and he is ours. I hope it ministers to everyone who hears it.”
One the heels of the release of his brand new single “GLU”, Usher has just announced that he’s reunited with original collaborator L.A. Reid and that his upcoming ninth studio album will release this Spring. The pair haven’t worked together since 2004’s Diamond certified “Confessions”.
Usher will release the new album via gamma. The company is a modern music, media and technology enterprise created to revolutionize the way artists create, distribute, and monetize their content and brand.
Duo Louis York (aka Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony) have just released their new single “Heaven Bound” featuring Jessie J.
The song is the latest single from the Nashville based artists’ upcoming sophomore album “Songs With Friends” which will release later this year. The project will contain a bunch of high profile collaborations with artists like Lalah Hathaway, PJ Morton, Chris Daughtry, Breland and more.
The groove driven “Heaven Bound” is the type of fresh sound the pair have been giving us for years now. They add about the new single:
“We have a BIG history of hit-making with Jessie J. We have topped the charts, broken records and made the world dance several times over. Louis York pairing with one of the best singers on the planet is a force of nature. ‘Heaven Bound’ shows the best of all 3 of us. This duet is from the heart. It’s soulful, anthemic and undeniable. A perfect introduction to Songs with Friends.”
Most recently, Louis York received high marks for executive producing the Tennessee State University marching band’s debut album The Urban Hymnal, which took home the GRAMMY for Best Roots Gospel Album. In addition to being featured artists on the album track “Blessings On Blessings,” the duo were also co-writers and co-producers on the album.
R&B singer Tamar Braxton is back with her new single “Changed”. The new song is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Tamar which is quality sounding R&B. Her vocals are as good as always she glides over the smooth production which borrows parts of SWV’s classic record “Rain”.
Although Tamar hasn’t said much about her upcoming album yet, we know that the project is set to come out later this year. This will be her first official album since “Bluebird of Happiness” which had the big hit “My Man” produced by Bob Robinson of Tim & Bob.
GRAMMY and Tony award nominated singer Hailey Kilgore has released her debut EP “Desire and Devotion”. The 8 track EP is co-executive produced by Adam Blackstone who is Justin Timberlake’s musical director and has also produced songs for the likes of Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott and Vivian Green.
The EP contains the previously released “Miss U” and “Some Love Song” as well as a handful of other songs that will showcase Adam Blackstone’s musicality as well as Hailey’s powerhouse vocals.
Usher is back with his new single “GLU”. The sexy bedroom record is the first release from the legendary singer since he put out “Bad Habits” back in 2020. The song is also a reunion for Usher, Lil Jon and Sean Garrett as they previously worked on the number one smash “Yeah!” together back in 2004. They are back together for this song (along with The Avila Brother who have also worked heavily with Usher throughout the years).
It’s safe to assume that “GLU” is set to appear on Usher’s highly anticipated upcoming album, but when we spoke to him last year, he shared very little details about the project as he chose to focus on talking about his Las Vegas residency:
“There have been some conversations. We actually did a little listening thing where we allow people to hear a few songs. I think if anything we’ve decided to take a few nontraditional approaches to breaking records. I would have never thought Tiny Desk would have been the way I broke the remix version of “Nice & Slow” or “My Way”. I did these remixes that are reimagined version of those songs plus “You Make Me Wanna”. Again, just trying new nontraditional ways to do things like Tiny Desk or breaking records for the first time performing. You come to my concert, there’s a moment in the night where I actually do a new song. But I’m living in the moment. I put together an entire performance in Las Vegas that’s a celebration of all my songs from over the years. But who knows what’s going to happen night to night or who’s going to come out. Maybe during the month of October we’ll do tribute to some of the songs from “My Way”. I think the new energy and new music is all about creating something that feels fresh and doing things that are a bit out of the norm of how I’d normally do them”.
Usher will be in Las Vegas for his “My Way” show until the end of October so it’ll be interesting to see if that is when he will finally put out this album!
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard something new from R&B veteran Rell.
The singers reappears on the new track “Welcome To The South” from DJ FX.
The song is a new Southern Anthem, specifically written by Rell for those from the Southeast. Rell is of course from South Carolina and proudly shows his admiration over the course of the song.
Rell and DJ FX are currently working on an EP and preparing to shoot a video for the song. Stay tuned!
